Activities in Paphos

There are plenty of activities to keep you occupied in Cyprus. You can do anything from taking a gentle stroll around one of the tournament class golf courses to racing round a race track in a go-cart. Details of some of these activities are shown below.

Water Sports

Pafos is the ideal spot for a full range of water sports that are available throughout the year. Sports available include water-skiing, wind surfing, sailing, canoeing, pedalos, paragliding, banana boats, yachting, jet skiing, etc. You can even hire speed boats by the hour from Paphos harbour.

Water Park

Paphos is home to the largest water park in Cyprus, and the biggest family rafting ride in Europe. Whether you're into plummeting 50ft down a vertical sheet of water, or taking it easy on the lazy river, kids and adults alike are sure to have a great time. Diving

Cyprus is a major diving centre in the Mediterranean. There are many dive sites ranging from the Zenobia (rated as one of the top 10 best wrecks in the world) to many exciting smaller shore and boat dives around the Paphos coast. It doesn't matter whether you're a complete beginner or a PADI qualified diver the diving centres cater for all levels.

The largest dive centre in Paphos is Cy-Dive at the Myrra Complex on Poseidonos Avenue. Check their web site out for prices, courses, and details of dive sites.

Golf

There are 3 great courses all within 20-30 minutes drive of our apartment.
Tsada golf course is 15km to the north of Paphos, Secret Valley golf course is 18km to the east of Paphos, and the spectacular new Aphrodite Hills golf course is 20km to the east.

Skiing

There aren't many places in the world where you can be skiing one minute, and within an hour be on the beach sunning yourself. Well that's exactly what you can do in Cyprus. Between January and March you can ski in the Troodos mountains which is about an hours drive from our apartment. Although it's not quite Courchevel you will have great fun up on the slopes around Troodos.

Go-Karts

The Paphos Go Karting center is great fun. It offers a 1600 metre track where you can either have bambino karts, cadet karts, pro karts, super Karts, twin engine or thunder karts. It has a bridge and tunnel track. There is also a childrens track.
